ÉEtymology: The Sebago firm was originally called Sebago-Moc. Sebago in reference to the indian Abenaki tribe of that region of the East Coast. Moc, to recall the ethnic origin of the moccasin and the ultra commodity which these hunters made a speciality, removing Moc out of their name when the famous Docksides came out in 1969. Since then, it is redundant to say that the Docksides Boat is as much a preppy as a street icon. Docksides walk on the water, outside of fashion timing.
