Keeping it clean
You should not put your bag in the washing machine, dryer or use bleach. If stains persist, it may be helpful to use a garment stain remover on canvas bags (not on leather!)
Check that the stain remover does not contain bleach.
Cleaning stains
Use a flannel with warm water and washing-up liquid or mild soap. If the stain is not just on the surface, a toothbrush can be used. Rinse with cold water and air dry.
For a thorough cleaning, immerse the bag in a tub of cold, soapy water (be careful, hot water may cause the fabric to shrink) and air dry.
Care
The care of zips is often forgotten. But it is important to take care of them.
Use a toothbrush or cotton swab dampened with warm water and a little soap; this will give your accessories a soft, like-new scrub.
If you are going to the beach with your bags, don't forget this step, salt can be very corrosive!
