Since September 2025, Japan Blue Jeans has been developing a new approach centered on the intersection of traditional Kojima craftsmanship and modern technology.
The collection is now structured around three complementary categories:
- STANDARD: a balance between the authentic look of denim and everyday comfort
- ReDESIGN: a more creative approach that transforms signs of wear and natural aging into design elements
- SELVEDGE: the most traditional facet of Japan Blue Jeans, highlighting denim woven on vintage shuttle looms and the expertise of Kojima artisans
The goal is not to turn away from Japan Blue Jeans' history, but rather to evolve it.
This shift is also accompanied by a change in pricing. Japan Blue Jeans officially revised its prices as of June 2026, primarily due to rising costs for raw materials and various manufacturing stages.
For the brand, this increase ensures the preservation of its core DNA—material quality, Kojima craftsmanship, denim artistry, and jean comfort—while allowing for the development of new materials and products.
This is not merely a change of image or logo; Japan Blue Jeans aims to evolve its product and strengthen its positioning within the Japanese denim market.
More than just a rebranding, this evolution marks a new milestone for the brand: a more contemporary identity, a better-structured product range, and new denim offerings, all while remaining true to its roots in Kojima, Okayama.
At Royalcheese Paris, we continue to select Japan Blue Jeans for their distinctive approach to denim: garments designed for long-term wear, featuring denim that evolves over the years.
